Assessment
We use diverse assessment methods designed to develop both disciplinary knowledge and professional skills. Following a School-wide review of assessment practices, our programmes combine academic rigour with opportunities for students to develop a broad range of capabilities, including:
- critical thinking
- quantitative analysis
- coding and data skills
- AI literacy
- effective verbal and written communication
- teamwork and collaboration
Around 50% of assessments take the form of individual or group coursework, including:
- investment reports
- policy and consulting-style case studies
- data analysis projects
- simulated trading portfolios
- presentations
Around 50% of assessments are traditional written examinations, particularly within core modules where the rigorous assessment of economic, financial, and quantitative knowledge remains essential.
