Taught Programmes Board
The Taught Programmes Board (TPB) takes an overview of the academic standards of programmes and modules operating at Queen Mary and its associated Collaborative Partners. The Board has a specific remit for the consideration and approval of new programmes of study and associated modules; collaborative programmes/modules (including articulation agreements); programmes/modules involving work-based learning; and programmes/modules involving distance learning.
Members of the Board are drawn from across Queen Mary, providing specialist knowledge and expertise from a range of academic and professional services departments and the Students’ Union.
Meeting dates and paper deadlines
- Wednesday 22 July 2026 (submission deadline: 24 June 2026)
- Wednesday 23 September 2026 (submission deadline: 2 September 2026)
- Wednesday 25 November 2026 (submission deadline: 4 November 2026)
- Wednesday 3 February 2027 (submission deadline: 13 January 2027)
- Wednesday 24 March 2027 (submission deadline: 3 March 2027)
- Wednesday 19 May 2027 (submission deadline: 28 April 2027)
- Wednesday 7 July 2027 (submission deadline: 16 June 2027)
Meetings will take place 1400-1700 on the above dates in hybrid format (Dept W and MS Teams) unless otherwise stated.
Completed submissions must be made to Quality and Standards no fewer than 15 working days in advance of a meeting. Submission is not a guarantee that the proposal will be considered at the next meeting, and proposers should discuss scheduling with Quality and Standards at an early stage.
The relevant Head of School/Institute Director or Director of Education and the programme proposer will be invited to attend the meeting to discuss the proposal with the Taught Programmes Board. At least one member of the programme team must attend the Taught Programmes Board in-person.
