Profile
I am a postdoctoral research associate based in the Unit for Adult Mental Health and Wellbeing at the Centre for Psychiatry and Mental Health. I am a mixed methods researcher specialising in physical health inequalities in severe mental illness, with a particular interest in how psychosocial, clinical, lifestyle, and biological factors interact to shape physical multimorbidity outcomes in this population.
I received my PhD titled “Understanding the psychosocial risk factors for physical multimorbidity in severe mental illness: A mixed methods approach” at the Centre for Psychiatry and Mental Health, funded by LISS-DTP (ESRC). In 2025, I joined the SUPREME (Social Prescribing for People Living with Severe Mental Illness) study team, which aims to test the feasibility, acceptability and uptake of social prescribing among people living with severe mental illness in primary care.
I also support with teaching activities and supervise dissertation students on the MSc Psychological Therapies course.
Postgraduate Teaching
I teach on the Applied Research Method's course for Mental Health: Psychological Therapies MSc.
