As part of this upgrade, QMplus Hub has been rebranded as Mahara. Going forward, we will refer to the platform as Mahara.

The upgraded version is now available on the test site and is ready for testing. This release includes a range of enhancements designed to improve usability, accessibility, and the overall portfolio experience.

Top 5 changes

1. New look and feel

Mahara has a refreshed, modern interface designed to provide a more intuitive and consistent user experience. Key areas such as Portfolios, Groups, People, and Reusable Content are now accessed through a left-hand navigation menu, which can be collapsed to maximise workspace. Collection navigation is also permanently available on the left, making it easier to move between pages.

2. Adding a page directly within a collection

You can now create and add a new page directly while editing a collection. This makes it quicker and easier to build and organise collections without needing to create pages separately beforehand.

3. Text and Notes Sections merged

The separate Text and Notes content types have been combined into a single Text block. As the new Text block includes the advanced functionality previously available in Notes, you only need to add a Text block when building a page.

4. Simplified Journal Sections

Journal functionality has been streamlined from four separate block types into a single, flexible journal block. You can now easily configure it to display an entire journal, selected entries, or entries filtered by specific tags.

5. Insert Accordians within text

You can now insert accordions directly into text content, allowing you to hide longer or more detailed information within expandable sections. This helps keep pages concise while still making additional content available when needed.

We encourage you to explore the test site and try out the new functionality. Your feedback will help us identify any issues and ensure a smooth transition before the upgraded version is released to the live environment.
