MINDS Neurodivergent Scientists' Comedy Night

When: Thursday, July 16, 2026, 7:00 PM - 9:01 PM
Where: The Griff Bar, Garrod Building, Whitechapel campus

On Thu 16th July, from 7-9pm, MINDS be running a Neurodivergent Scientists' Comedy Night in collaboration with Queen Mary's Disability Society (SANDS) and Science Showoff at The Griff Bar, Garrod Building, at QMUL's Whitechapel Campus. Our MC for the evening will be Prof Steve Cross, and the acts will include professional scientist comedians Elizabeth Johnson and Ribs Norman, a colleague from Birmingham City, Craig Anderton, who does research on HCI and accessibility in VR, as well as two Queen Mary PhD students, Daniel Gill (EECS, CogSci/CHCC) and Jasmin Richter (SBBS).
Through this event, MINDS wants to highlight the wide range of amazing work being done by neurodivergent researchers, both to demonstrate the value of having neurodivergent people in science and research fields, but also to take a light-hearted look at being neurodivergent in our world. Perfect not just for fellow neurodivergent scientists, but anyone who wants to learn about neurodivergence and science in a funny way!
It's completely free for all attendees. Registration link and more info is here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/minds-neurodivergent-scientists-comedy-night-tickets-1991970151345?aff=oddtdtcreator
