Profile
Dr Shuang (Daisy) Wu is currently a Child Protection Officer with the Department of Communities, Western Australia. She holds a PhD in Social Work from the University of Auckland and a Master of Social Work by Research from the University of Edinburgh. Her research focuses on childhood studies, children’s geographies, children’s participation, and child and youth wellbeing. Her doctoral research explored children’s relationships with place, nature, culture, and community in rural China through participatory visual methods, highlighting children’s voices, agency, and sense of belonging. She is committed to promoting children’s perspectives in research, policy, and practice.
