Profile

Kristen is a PhD candidate at the University of Bath whose work is informed by her upbringing in a settler colonial Caribbean community, studies in Arabic and a decade contributing to international development and humanitarian programmes in South West Asia and North Africa. Building on participatory research and advocacy initiatives with children and young people, particularly those affected by displacement and violence, her doctoral research explores child protection in humanitarian contexts through feminist and decolonial lenses.
