Fanghao Chen serves as an assistant professor at the Shanghai Institute for Global City, Shanghai Normal University. He received his Ph.D. in Chinese and Comparative Literature at Washington University in St. Louis in 2020. His research interests include childhood studies and urban studies. He has published articles on Children's Literature in Education, Critical Arts: South-North Cultural and Media Studies, and Journal of the History of Childhood and Youth.
