Experts from Egypt attend online aviation law course from Queen Mary
In April 2026, the Centre for Commercial Law Studies at Queen Mary welcomed experts from Egypt online for a 15-hour online executive course in Aviation Law, Policy and Regulation.

CCLS’ aviation law expert Dr Antigoni Lykotrafiti delivered the course with Honorary Professor Paul NG to attendees from the Egyptian State Lawsuits Authority, the State Council, the Ministry of Justice, academia (Ain Shams University, the Egyptian Chinese University, the British University in Egypt and Cairo University), the Air Force, ALMasria Universal Airlines and SGH Group.
The course focused on:
- Market access in air transport and the novel “EU Comprehensive Air Transport Agreements”.
- Competition law in aviation, looking at issues such as the impact. of geopolitical developments (sanctions/airspace closures) on competition.
- State aid law/subsidies in aviation in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic.
- Air passenger rights in Europe and beyond.
- Aviation finance in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
