Barts Health NHS Trust hosts the largest trauma centre in Europe for adults and children and three University-affiliated hospital sites. Bone and Joint Health are pleased to offer a fully comprehensive suite of fellowship programmes for subspecialist training. We have an immediate catchment population of around 2.5 million, with a wider network for complex trauma and tertiary referral of over double that.
Each of our fellowships prioritise professional development, surgical autonomy and the ability to teach others. Fellows are expected to leave the programme being confident, independent operators ready for practice and equipped to train. Fellows have allocated time and access to Queen Mary facilities to explore research opportunities from the lab bench to the surgical simulator to the clinical trials unit.
